Tasting Queens Road Trip Pt 2: Barn Joo -A Photo Journey.

Tahrikh and I sampled the offerings of Barn Joo, a Korean Fusion Restaurant nestled in the heart of Grammarcy (Lower Manhattan) on our second stop on The Tasting Queens Road Trip.
Wanting to do something a bit different this post, I decided to capture our outing in just photos. I will say this, Barn Joo ( 893 Broadway, New York, NY 10003) is a MUST visit. The food was delectable. Service was prompt, engaging and a delight. The ambiance and decor were everything you'd like in a quaint romantic date spot. We left happy and here's why:

Food is Love. Love is Food.

I cooked my first meal at age 8 and fell in love with the process. I was ambitious and made stewed eggplant with chuck steak and white rice. Surprisingly it came out pretty well. Since then it has been a foodie journey for me. I cook, I eat and I love every second of it. My love for food and making people happy lead me to start a catering service with my mom called "MyMoMMyAnDMe Caterers". This love affair with taste, textures, colors and aromas has propelled me on my quest to taste and savor the world. Literally!

Hi everyone, my name is Shannice, and all you need to know about me is that I like food. A lot. I'm also Shauna's little sister, if you haven't noticed. Growing up in a family so prestigiously intricate about the details of food as mine, it's no surprise that I have grown to adore mealtime (which is anytime) with all my heart.
I'm also quite adventurous, so back in 2010 when I heard that Shauna was starting a blog that included both good food from many countries and getting to explore Queens, I was hooked. I love tasting new foods too. This ongoing food adventure has been nothing short of fun, and I look forward to tasting and writing as many blogs as I can.

I Love Food!

Not only do I love to eat but I enjoy the process of how various ingredients come together to create a miraculous meal. I really started becoming more involved in my kitchen when I was about 18. My good friend above asked for some help making a cheese cake one day and I paid attention. One day when I was home I decided that I would try my hand at it and it came out pretty well. I began to look at my kitchen differently and started to think outside of the box when it came to making everyday meals. As much as I love to cook I have no problem going out and trying new places and new dishes. There is just so much culture and diversity when it comes to food and I want to explore it all.
